Ceremony & Clergy

At St. Luke’s, we value both tradition and personal choice.

• Flexibility: Couples are welcome to bring clergy who are familiar to them to officiate.
• Parish Support: Our parish priest, Rev. Matthew L. Buterbaugh, may be available to lead your ceremony. This includes a personalized rehearsal and meaningful premarital counseling (five couple sessions and one individual session) to help you build a strong foundation for your life together.
• The Rehearsal: Every contract includes a one-hour rehearsal the night before your big day to ensure everyone feels confident and prepared.

Important Notes for Planning

To maintain the sanctity and beauty of our historic space, we have a few simple guidelines:

• Photography: Your photographers and videographers are welcome! We just ask that they remain unobtrusive and refrain from flash photography during the ceremony (flash is permitted for the entrance, exit, and portraits).
• Decor: We love seeing the church in bloom! We simply ask florists to avoid adhesive materials that leave residue and to remove all arrangements after the ceremony (unless you choose to donate them to the church altar).
